The Burning Question

I know I have not blogged in a couple of days.  I have been working on blog hop stuff, that I cannot show you at this time.  I have been hopping around the blogs reading and leaving comment.  But what has me wondering and maybe someone out there could answer this questions.  Do you reply on your blog or your e-mail, and which is better to do?

The reason I asked this question is that I notice recently, that instead of replying to comments by e-mail, I could reply right there under the comments.  I still get e-mails and reply by that method.  Is there a diffrence?  Would I still get the e-mails.  I know I should try it out, put do you Know?

Get back to me on this.  It is burning my brains and I need it for other stupit questions.

  1. Personally I like it when a blogger replies via email. I won't see their reply if they only reply In the comments so I'd have to check back.

  2. I also reply to the email address. I rarely will remember to go back to the original post to check for a reply.

  3. I really appreciate the effort my visitors make to leave me lovely comments so I try to respond by email. When I have a blog hop post that brings in many wonderful comments, it may take me a few days to work my way through the list.

What I really like to do, although I am not sure this is what is considered the right blogger etiquette, is to visit in return the lovely blogger who left me a lovely comment and see what is happening in their world and say "thanks!"

... so here I am, saying "thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving me a kind comment on my hugs and kisses post and being a follower" ... I am looking forward to seeing your next quilty creation, too ... XOXOXO .... :) Pat

  4. I, too, always pull up the e-mail - and browse that person's blog (if they have one) and when I reply to their e-mail, I can than add a special note of something I saw on their blog. Is it proper? I just think if some one took the time to comment, they deserve a little time also.

Again, your blog, your style, your amount of time.

  5. I usually reply by email but sometimes if a question is asked that someone else might want to know the answer to, I think it's a good idea to reply on the comment form. Sometimes I've seen an interesting question and wonder what the answer was, LOL.

And yep, if you reply on the comment form you'll not only get the original comment in your email, you'll also get any replies to that comment!

  6. I like the email because then I cna have a little more conversation but if the post leads to a question or reminds me of something other people might wonder about -- I will reply in both places.

  7. I always reply by email. However, I guess I would reply after the comment if I knew how to set it up. I do enjoy comments and really try hard to say thank you to everyone who stops by.

  10. I use email, but have to admit, I never saw the reply button on my blog until you pointed it out!

  11. I relpy on email because I figure that if I am too busy to go back and see if someone has left me a comment on their blog that others are too.

  12. I reply by email because I like to click on the name and see their blog if they have one. I very rarely go back to read responses to my comments on a person's blog, so I appreciate getting an email about my comments.
