Well, Monday I went back to work no problem. Got home, set up my work station in my room to start on my NYB Block for this week, then it happened, my grandsons came home, it was down hill from there. The youngest one (2yrs) was just being a cry baby and into everything, so it was hard for me to get my sewing done. I was able after getting him to bed to just cut up my fabric for all four blocks, but when will I get time to sew it?
When I got home today, I realized that since I was sick last week, we really did not have any food in the house. I even cleaned out the refrigerator and only thing I could find to feed the baby was beacon and a sweet potato, which he was happy to have, so I went to the Safeway. Well by the time I got back home put up the food and out undressed it was already after 10:00 and I do not fell like sewing tonight.
Tomorrow does not look any better. I know when I get home I will have to final cook a real dinner, even I am getting hungry for real food. I do know I have to take my son to a dress rehearsal way out in Laurel, MD and sit out there for almost 2 hours since it is just to far to comeback home. I am very proud of my son Darnell, he is a graduate of Boston Conservatory which he majored in vocal performance. Since being home he has been in several operas and performed in other singing performances. He also have self improved is appearance. He has always been a heavy child, during college.
Here he is at his gradation.
Here he is now, slim and trim.
Here is also a YouTube video of him singing when he was at college, hope you enjoy it. As you can see he was pretty heavy then too.
Well that is what is going on. I have to go to his performance on Thursday, so I might get back to sewing by the weekend after my Guild meeting.

Your wonderfully talented son sings beautifully! I know you are very proud of him.
ReplyDeleteBravo! Where has the time gone? I remember when you would be off and running taking your son to rehearsals at your church and other activities. You should be so proud of your son. Blessing!
ReplyDeleteVery handsome young man, I know you must be so proud of him.
ReplyDeleteYou son is so talented. If he performs locally, you have to let us know, so that we can support him. Congratulations for raising a phenomenal young man.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful voice your son has. Glad you're feeling better. I seem to always have trouble finding time to sew - everything else just takes over! :) I still haven't started on my NYB for this week yet, gotta get crackin'!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful voice! Best wishes to him.
