I am coming back slow as a turtle (The Slow Quilter) get it. The first thing I am participating in is The Splendid Sampler, a quilt-along with Pat Sloan and Jane Davis. I am looking through my scraps to work on the different quilt block samples that the group is turning out. here is my first finish, the folding block station. I think this was a bonds block, not worry, I will get the the different blocks soon. Really I will.
O.K. there are now on block 7, but I have picket out fabrics even cut out one or two of the blocks I will be working on, but just trying to find the time to work on them between cooking dinner and watch the grandbaby, who is now 1 year old and walking.
My fist quilt show this year was the Mid-Atlantic in Hampton, VA with my Guild UHURU, here is a picture of us arriving.
It was a great trip, I only brought 1, yes 1 fat quarter buddle.. YAH ME!!!, I only brought 2 rulers (may be I will give them a try with my Sampler blocks), and some other small items. I was a good girl. As we all are these days, I am on a fabric diet, I have so-much that I have not used, that I need to take the time and pull them together for a quilt before Thomas sends them to Good Will (His been cleaning the basement lately, and my fabric seems to pop up when is doing that). Must protect my fabric at all cost.
I am at work writing this post so I must go now. Look forward to seeing more often. I will be have a late birthday give-a-way by the end of March or right after Easter, so please come back to see me.

I am so happy that you are back. I haven't blogged much lately either. We missed you. I am participating the splendid sampler challenge too...just haven't started yet.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Miss Slow Quilter, on your one year anniversary!!! Your own brand of humor was sorely missed. Point in fact - all your pictures disappeared except the one dealing with underwear dust, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with the two blocks, I'm so far behind I better not start at this point. Too many "arns in the foyah"
Yes, an anniversary is a good starting point. Life does have it's way in taking over. Love your updated profile photo - looking good lady.
ReplyDeleteYour group is one gorgeous bunch of ladies. How fun to go to a quilt show, and good for you for the fabric purchase restraint.
ReplyDeleteYes, your new profile photo is wonderful! Will be fun to read what you are up to!
