While I have the chicken thigh quarters in the glass oven cooking away, I thought I would get back in the saddle again and write a blog.
Since my last blog about the new car, I have been doing some running around and little to no quilting. A few of my girlfriends (Jackie, Gwen and Linda) took a road trip to the Quilters Unlimited Quilt Show in Chantilly, VA, last month or was it earlier this month (not sure). I did not take many pictures, and not sure if taken pictures of other people’s quilts and putting them on the blog is alright or not, so no pictures.
But here is a picture of me at Famous Davis, were we stopped of to grab something to eat.
Those ribs were great and messy, but as you can see they have this new thing called a Sauce Remover.
I finished my 10th Anniversary Quilt in time for the Family Day Celebration last Saturday. Instead of hang the quilts in the trees like we do every year, we had to hang them around the gym because of rain. You can see all the quilts at the Wee Bee Blog, which I also write every three months for my Bee.
Well that is all for now. I am still working on the Jacob’s Ladder quilt I started last month, I finish the last block last night, and will being butting it together hopefully over the 4th of July weekend.
So until tomorrow dear bloggers, please drop me a line and let me know you are still with me.
The ever Slow Quilter (Felicia)
Hey, when you get a new car, you just have to do some running around with it.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed you at the show. The anniversary quilts were beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the anniversary quilts and can't wait to see your Jacob's Ladder quilt. Yes, I'm still with you, just slow in my visits. :0)
ReplyDeleteOOPS somehow I got signed out before I replied, so my reply went into deep dark space! It's nice to see you posting, Felicia - we all need to take a break now and then :D Sometimes we don't have anything new to report, and sometimes we just don't feel like posting - I think it happens to all of us :) Love the anniversary quilts, and looking forward to seeing Jacob's Ladder :) I'm doing a little (36" square) scrap quilt for a challenge - the top is done so I should be able to finish it by the deadline (mid-July) :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been busy and having fun. Good for you. I'm still here--doing a little sewing and trying to stay cool. Summer is here in the hot dry part of the state. That means temps 90+ until September......meanwhile cherry season is here and I've pitted 36 lbs of sweet, dark cherries--yum!
