In The Mail - Bow Ties & What's Going On

Now that things seem to be getting back to normal around here.  More since Tom is home (he is really in the way).  I think at one point that he really had to think about what he was going to do now, since his mother and father passed.  For the last 2 or 3 years he was almost their care giver and with them 24/7 when they were hospitalized.  Now he is home more and starting to move things around.  More on that later.

Anyway, I am get some things straighten out that I have been “SLOW” getting out.  I had some packages I needed to mail out to some of my blog followers which I did yesterday.  They should be getting them shortly, and yes that is my junky office desk.  One of the packages, the big one I forgot to add a note and got so busy at work I did not have time to send it.  So I am sure the package will get  there before the note, but she will know it is from me (I hope).  I am hoping that they ladies will share their gifts with all of you.  If not, well to each their own.

Also I have gotten in a little sewing since the Black Cat Crossing blog hop.  A young man who interned with us was leaving our office.  One of the ladies asked if I could make him a bow tie with African fabric.  So here are the bow ties.

Andrew can really tie a Bow, the bows on the bottom were for the ladies in the office to were in their hair.

My office buddy and friend Tracy saw them and asked if I could make her some with music fabric for function her uncle was having.  A Jazz Bar part in a carpet warehouse.

Here is Tracy in her Music Bow Tie.  I was sitting down when I took this picture.  Here cousin fixed me a drink and I think I was a little cross eye.

I am also picking up the knitting needles.  My first project is a pair of socks.  Since I have seen some of the quilting bloggers talking about their nice warm socks, I want a pair for myself.  Seems like you really need to know someone to get a pair of home made socks these days.  Even some of my close quilting friends are knitting these days from socks to sweaters, to shawls.  If knitting needles do not work out for me, I can always crochet me a pair.

So that Is all for now.  For those ladies who I hope is still reading by blog.  Let me know when you have posted about you gifts.
