It has been a busy weekend for me, and after church I decided to get started on my next blog hop project. I have this pattern that I got early this year at one of the quilt shows. Reading the instructions and the fabrics needs for the project I was ready to go.
After cutting up my first fabric I realized I did not have enough (or did I?). I was upset that I would have to order another 1/2 year of each fabric. After ordering the fabric, I went back to check the instructions and the fabric. Now I am pretty mad at myself at this point. I realized that the second fabric I had for the project was more then enough and was the main fabric in the first place not the one that I cut.
So the moral of this story is “Read twice, lay out all your fabric before cutting, and remember what you are doing.” I will not cancel the order of the fabric, I will use it for a give away, you will just love it, and then again I might just mess up again and need to use it. We Will see.
Well tomorrow or today (when every you are reading this) is Day four of the See You In September Blog Hop. Last week was a great week of summer projects and finishes. And we cannot forget all the great RBD gingham projects. So here is the list of Day 4 of the hop.

ReplyDeleteI really hate when something like that happens. I have been following along on the hop and love all the beautiful projects that everyone has made. There is always so much inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one who does things like that....
