Another Long Day

Well, I am winding down for the night, it has been a long day.  I did not get to bed until after 2:00 a.m. and was up by 7:00.  It seem that everyone in the house had somewhere to go.  Had to drop of my son for an early choir rehearsal, my daughter came to my house from work to drop off something, so I had to take her home with a stop by the store, then Tom and I went looking for more purse frames, and then went grocery shopping for ourselves and my mother.  When I got back to the house I just went back to bed and told him to put up the food.

I did get back up in time to finish putting the frames on 5 of the coin purses.  Sorry again, I know you cannot see the purses in the back that well, put hell,  it is almost midnight and I cannot be a very creative picture taker at this time of night.  Louie seems to be on top of the Christmas decorations stretching out on Tom’s coat.

And here is the handmade gift that I got yesterday (Friday) from one of the ladies in my Ministry.

And below as I promised is the gift that I made for Charlene and Pat (this one is Charlene’s).  I had her take a picture of it and send it to me, she has picture creativity going for her.  She even sit a iron on it.  Pat is not as picture savvy as Charlene, so I will have to get a picture of it when I see her next weekend.

I am sure you can see what it is, it is a iron caddy.  I still have to make two more of these.

Well I know I will not get to sleep before 1 a.m. and it will be a long day at church and my day of rest.  Sew until Monday you all have a blessed day.

My Duh moment is when I forgot to take a picture of the gifts I made with this fabric I should you yesterday.  My girlfriends (Pat & Charlene) was so surprised.  I plan to run up to Charlene’s house tomorrow to take a picture and you will be able to see what it is.

We had a great lunch.  When I got home I started on the other 8 coin purses I needed to finish and yah – DUH!!! no pictures of them.  I completed the shells and linings, just 3 more linings to go and they will be ready for the frames, I should have pictures of them for you tomorrow night.

As you can tell by this posting time (1:00 a.m.) I am in the stupid stage of not knowing up from down or my favorite saying from 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton “I don’t know if I am scratching my watch or winding my ass.”  So until I blog tomorrow with a clear mind and good eye sight, have a great shopping Saturday.

P.S. If you see any misspelled words, I could not find the spell check.  I really wasn’t looking for it either. Smile

Sew Worn-Out

Hey, I am back, not sure for how long.  Sorry I have not posted since Thanksgiving.  After get my sewing room back from all the things I threw in it doing the Thanksgiving dinner, I have been to busy to blog, working the 9 to 5, going on religious retreat, meetings and choir rehearsals.  I have a break tonight, I have sew my last button and last coin purse frame to things that I have been working on night and day, even taken things to work to sew by hand.

During all this, good old Tom come in with a project from a friend that works with Artistic children.  The glue fabric on felt and since they are not stable, I took the pieces and sewed decorative stitches and then put it together for a quilt.

Sorry the pictures are not clear, put don’t you thing the backing is great with the monkeys hanging in the trees.  There were four blocks that I sewed together, you can not see the decorative stitches and found this great monkey fabric for the backing.

As I said earlier, have been making more coin purses and here they are.

I get my frames from Jo-Ann’s, for only $4.95 on sale this week for $3.95. I have hit most of the Jo-Ann;s in my area and only could find two. One of my quilt buddies has two that she is giving me tomorrow, and as I was looking through one of the bends that I put my stuff in during Thanksgiving clean up, I found another 4 more frames, YAH!!  So I will get started on them later tonight.

Last put not least, here is a puzzle for you.  Below is scrapes from my latest two projects.  These are gifts for two of my running buddies, which I will reveal to you tomorrow night.  My New Members Ministry will be having our Christmas luncheon which I invited them to come.  This little project did not take too much time to make, put with me working it took be two days each.
